Christian Singles Involved
 
The CSI:Genesis singles program is available to any single individual 40+ whether separated, divorced, widowed or never married. The program fosters friendship, fellowship, fun and service to others, guided by Christian values to meet the spiritual, emotional and social needs of its members. It is not necessary to be a member of Genesis United Methodist Church to participate in the CSI:Genesis program.
 
Service

We believe that everyone has been created by God with unique gifts and graces, with the potential to impact those around us. Romans 12:4-6a teaches us, “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.” Service to others is an important element of the CSI:Genesis singles PROGRAM. Members are encouraged to use their gifts to serve not only our church, but our community. Opportunities for service are provided on a regular basis to foster the use of our gifts and talents for the glory of God.

 

Activities

Just as we are serious about our mission, we are serious about having fun! The CSI:Genesis singles program is based on the premise that the Christian life is an exciting adventure, and we enjoy sharing our lives with each other. From game night to ballgames to Singles Salons, after-church lunches, community theatre, drum circles and day trips, there is always something going on! Check out the following calendar of events for more information.

To sign up for any of the following activities, simply stop by one of the CSI:Genesis Information Tables located in either the sanctuary atrium or the hall just outside the Great Room in the new Ministry Center..or...email your request to csigenesis@sbcglobal.net

 Stagecoach Dance Lessons (Singles Night)
The Stagecoach Ballroom is located at 2516 East Belknap/corner of Sylvania and East Belknap.  Dance lessons are from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, with the band performing from 8:00 pm until midnight.  Cover is $6 to $7 unless a special band is playing.

GRAPEVINE: "A DAY OF CHOCOLATE AND ART"
Spend a day in historic Downtown Grapevine centered around the Palace Arts Theatre where there will be chocolate samples, live music, contests and art from area artists. 
Cost: $15 to benefit Traveler's Aid (for assistance to area travelers who may become stranded or in a travel-related crisis).

Join facilitator Judy Clarke for a lively evening of conversation and fun!  Details forthcoming.
 
 
** What is a Singles Salon?  The premise of the Singles Salon is quite simple.  CSI:Genesis members gather in a member's home to discuss a topic of mutual interest.  Judy Clarke serves as the Salon's facilitator.  Members are provided with a list of discussion questions a week or so before the Salon.  And, no discussion would be complete without a potluck dinner.  This is truly a time of incredible fellowship, fun and food!
